Karen Potter, Director of Sustainability Hub and ideaXme sustainability ambassador interviews Patrick Mallet the Director of Innovations, ISEAL.
Karen Potter comments:
Climate change has become a defining issue of our era, particularly as it involves direct behavioural change from individuals, companies, and governments: everybody needs to play their part.
But where and how do we start?
While generating awareness is a great first step, many companies have come under fire recently for “greenwashing,” which is where a company will promote sustainability, but not practice it either as a business or through their supply chain.
In order to incite real change and hold companies accountable, standards need to be put in place so that consumers can support companies actually making a difference.
We examine all of the above in light of the Covid-19 crisis and how it has driven individual responsibility and creativity. Is there hope for a sustainable future?
