Today, we had the fantastic opportunity of collaborating with the MetFilm School to film our interview between Andrea Macdonald, founder of ideaXme, and Tamara Rojo, Artistic Director and Lead Principal Dancer for the English National Ballet.
During the interview itself, Tamara Rojo gave two key pieces of advice to the MetFilm Students, as well as all those aspiring to work in the creative arts.
Her first piece of advice was to be courageous.
“Be brave. I think no one ever regrets taking a chance.”
She then went on to advise everyone to look at their surroundings.
“Surround yourself with good people; people who want the best for you, and do the same in return.”
Both Tamara Rojo and Andrea Macdonald know all too well the great benefit and impact that rich connections, like those that Tamara is alluding to here, can have, not only for those in the creative arts, but for everyone.
Be sure to stay tuned for the full interview to learn how Tamara Rojo made her remarkable journey from accidentally discovering ballet to creating a lasting legacy with the English National Ballet!
Here’s a behind the scenes look at the interview process.
